Her film credits include co-directing the film "Guantanamo's Child," which premiered in 2015 and was based on her book about Omar Khadr, producing the documentary "Prisoners of the Absurd," which premiered in 2014, and associate producing the documentary "Under Fire: Journalists in Combat," which premiered in 2011.Shephard was raised in Thornhill, Ontario. She received her B.A. in Political Science and English from the University of Toronto, and her M.A. in Journalism from Ryerson University.

His work focuses on politics, crime, mental health, education, and memoir.Sherman began his journalism career at a local magazine after high school. He left the magazine to author his book, and now works as a freelance journalist. His work has appeared in Vanity Fair and Esquire. He also composes lyrics for the band Larch. His first book, "The Curiosity of School: Education and the Dark Side of Enlightenment," was published in 2012.Sherman was raised in Muskoka. He graduated from Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School.
