RATING
Any way you spin it, the McElroys will always be the best boys on the Internet. Their content is funny, emotional, and all around entertaining in every episode. Both balance and amnesty are amazing.
This was my first podcast ever, it rekindled my creative side, and made me get into podcasting. I love story telling, and this family knows how to tell a story. Whether its a reckless romp through Balance, trying to survive in Amnesty, or whatever is building up in Graduation right now, the goofs keep the episodes light and the narrative keeps you coming back again and again. Plus they have a ton of live shows in different settings and game systems that are always fun.
This is the first podcast I ever listened to. And it is near and dear to my heart. The first season (Balance) will take your breath away as they go from being silly and not taking the story seriously to investing themselves fully into it. To the point where it will bring you to tears. I love this family of podcasters, and I hope everyone listens to TAZ.
Just three good boys and their dad playing tabletop RPGs together. Lots of laughter and a few well earned tears are in store should you dare to enter...The Adventure Zone
A wonderful AP podcast that is truly a classic.
These bros are hilarious and go on some crazy adventures. They get creative and sometimes go off topic, but still make me pee my pants bro.
They are hilarious and I've come to feel like I'm part of their adventure. I laugh with them, I cheer for them and have fun with them. Great fandom and great people.
The next best thing to having literally the best dnd crew of your own ever. Made up of your own siblings. Makes me happy when I'm missing hanging with my favorite friends and chosen family. Mayhem, magic, and mystery in approximately equal portions.
Full of hilarity from the start, only gets better when Griffin's fantastic music comes to the fore (around ep. 29 onwards) but worth listening to right from the start for the surprisingly engaging and even more surprisingly moving story that builds along the way. Come for the goofs, stay for the chills the later arcs give you.
So far I've only listened to TAZ Balance, but I REALLY enjoyed it! I can't wait to catch up on their other campaigns. Also, I've seen TAZ live shows (before pandemic times) and they were some of the best live-shows ever. The humor in TAZ is great, the story-telling is on point, and the great chemistry between the players all being family is so delightful to listen to
I binged the majority of the episodes in about a month and a half! Totally recommend!!
An unexpected delight that has introduced me to D&D
this is the podcast all other RPG podcasts aspire to be. I would bet money that this podcast is the reason 60% of all RPG podcasts started
Phenomenal storytelling and great lols. A king amongst podcasts.
Simply the best ever.
Simply an enjoyable and fun podcast - even if you're not a hardcore D&D fan. The McElroy brothers have an affinity for comedy and storytelling which really shines through in The Adventure Zone.
Hi, Im from ReviewHunt. Its really fun listening to guys, right now the topic is about a BUS DRIVER. Really made me laugh. Comedy is 5/5
Amazing characters, rich story design with a compelling arch. I love this podcast so much!
I love this podcast, and I'm so disappointed I came to the game so late! Being able to binge listen has been amazing, but being able to follow this over the past few years would have been amazing! Fantastic story telling, and great listening. Can't wait for the graphic novel!
This one is worth starting at the beginning. There's something like 70 hours in the balance arc, and by the end of it, you will be cheering and crying for the most absurd and lovely moments: a man learns what a taco is. A dwarf gets to enjoy kenny chesney on the beach. An umbrella remembers how to love. A street racer falls in love with a tree, and we all fall in love with an earnest boy detective. Give it a listen, and solve your very own heart puzzle.
